My parents were military and we moved quite frequently when I was younger so I can empathize with my clients facing the challenges of relocation. As a military dependent growing up, my family spent time in Delaware, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Washington State, Alaska, California, and back to Oklahoma, where I graduated from high school.
I attended college at Oklahoma State University and entered the Army upon graduation. I initially enlisted and spend a few years as an Airborne Ranger at Fort Lewis Washington. I was commissioned through the US Army Officer Candidate School and spent 5 years in the Infantry and another 12 years in Military Intelligence. The last assignment was to Joint Forces Command at Norfolk. I retired in 2009 and my wife, Mary, and I permanently settled down here in Williamsburg.
I wanted to work for Liz Moore and Associates for the amount of training offered to new agents as well as the continuing training we receive to stay on top of the real estate field. Having no formal background in business or sales was a little disconcerting at first but the education and training I received here has given me the confidence to know I can help my clients solve even the most challenging real estate problems.
Given my background as a military dependent and later an active duty member, I knew my knowledge and familiarity with Army Culture would allow me to contribute significantly to the company’s success.
I knew I could offer much to the transitioning military family and I felt it would be a good way to bond with my clients and promote the benefits of home ownership to military families.
